The WOW Bus will be on the road as of September 20, 2010
Watch here for a September Bus schedule -coming soon!
Climb Aboard the WOW Bus for some fun!
The Words on Wheels (WOW) Bus is a BLT's way of reaching families all over the District 69 area, especially where transportation is an issue. The Bus travels from Nanoose to Bowser to Whiskey Creek, and stops everywhere in between to invite children, families and childcare providers on board for some songs, stories and healthy snacks. The Bus travels to a designated stop, stays open for a time, then says goodbye and moves on to another location. It's on the move several days a week, with stops changing monthly. See the schedule on the right sidebar for stops this month.
In addition to programming for children and families, the WOW Bus brings resources from community groups, career centre, libraries and other agencies, and often invites community partners along for a visit.
The old WOW Bus is still in action, too! It's set up at Bowser Elementary School for weekly programs.
WOW Bus Drivers and BLT Buddies are Welcome!
