School Planning Council (S.P.C.)

School planning councils acknowledge the importance of parental involvement and formalize the role of parents in developing plans to improve student achievement in all schools in British Columbia. School planning councils are advisory bodies. Their major responsibility is to develop, monitor and review school plans for student achievement in consultation with the school community.

The Arrowview school planning council consists of three parents elected by the school Parent Advisory Council and the school principal.

Parents elected to the S.P.C. for 2008-2009 are Jill Pinkerton, Shelley Melissa and Sandra Pomponio.

Located in the side bar to the right is the Arrowview School Growth Plan which outlines the school goals for 2008 - 2009.

The S.P.C. works
with the staff and the school community to develop, monitor and review student achievement.

  • A plan that outlines school goals and student achievement levels is submitted to the Board of Education anually.
