Peer Leader Program

By grade 5 students at A.E.S. are ready to assume more responsibility and build upon their leadership and problem solving skills.

Starting with a retreat in September and followed by a variety of sessions on leadership, confidentiality and problem solving skills, grade 5 students can apply to become a Peer Leader.

Peer Leaders take on a variety of responsibilities at the school including providing assistance on the playground, working in the school office and assisting younger students during the eating period. Throughout their grade 5 year Peer Leaders have numerous opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and growing level of personal responsibility and responsibility to their school community.
