Grade 3 Swim Program

Being able to swim is an essential proactive safety necessity to living on Vancouver Island as we are surrounded by water and numerous rivers, ponds and lakes ensure we are never far from water.

At Arrowview Elementary all grade 3 students participate in a Swim Program at Ravensong Aquatic Centre located in Qualicum Beach. The program consists of eight lessons appropriate for both beginners and more skilled swimmers. Lessons are taught by certified swim instructors with a maximum ratio of one instructor to ten students. Each session is a minimum of 45 minutes. The Swim Program is usually scheduled between the Christmas and spring breaks.

A portion of the cost of the program is paid by the Arrowview PAC. The remainder is covered by parents.
