Grades 6 to 8
The Grade 6 to 8 focus is on continued exansion of reading, writing and numeracy skills, with an addition of second language studies. In middle school, children discover all the wonders and complexities associated with their entrance into adolescence, and learning taking on new forms, building the bridge between elementary and secondary experiences.
The CEAP middle program program encompasses:
- Reinforcement of Intermediate-level skills, with continued development of more advanced writing and numeracy skills, in preparation for entry to the high school program.

Assessment that links learning outcomes with performance standards, and translates those performance standards into letter grades for every reporting period.

Exploration of a second language (French or Spanish).

Fine arts and applied skills presented through a portfolio-based course format.

Continued use of previous online resources, with many courses available to students through online platforms such as Nautikos and Moodle.

Ccontinuation of the Science, Social Studies, Physical Education and Personal Planning curriculum.
