At Nanoose Bay Elementary we are committed to quality educational programs which focus on key areas of student learning and development.  We believe that an optimal learning environment is one in which there exists a common purpose and a shared vision between home and school. 

We believe that learning experiences are most meaningful for students if they are actively engaged in their own learning process.  We recognize the diversity of learners in our school and are committed to instructional approaches which meet the needs of all learners.

Our school goals which form the basis of our Performance Agreement have been developed in a process involving all school partners. They are the outcome of our analysis of student performance data, are respectful of ongoing successful school initiatives, and reference student, parent and staff survey information, as well as classroom, district and provincial assessment data.

We believe that our work in the areas of social responsibility, personal initiative and good citizenship will contribute to a safe and productive learning environment which in turn contributes significantly to enhance academic performance across all curricular areas.
