Our intention is to have a secure and organized start for our students.  Reconnect provides time to welcome new students and returning students.  One of the learning activities includes creating and displaying self portraits of all of our students based on the book Listen to the Wind.  The self portraits are displayed in the foyer.  It is a very welcoming foyer.  The principal reads the book to all of the students by visiting individual classrooms over the first day and a half.  Teachers look forward to reconnect time as they are happy to the students and the students are happy to see them.
