Singing Africa features music, dance and
storytelling from the African countries of
Cameroon and Zimbabwe. Led by
accomplished dancer Jacky Essombe, this
participatory performance features music
played on marimba, djembe, shekere,
mbira, and various other traditional
instruments. Audience participation is
encouraged throughout the performance in
the form of call-and-response, singing,
clapping and dancing.
