The Winchelsea First Nations program enriches the educational opportunities for all students. The focus of our program is to enhance each First Nations student's understanding of their heritage, their sense of belonging, and how each of them can meet with success in school and in life.
Linda Ermineskin is the Winchelsea Elementary First Nations Support worker. Linda has a broad understanding of First Nations culture and experience working with First Nations learners. In addition to her focus on individual students, Linda works within the whole school on regular classroom activities, and is a resource person for curriculums with a First Nations focus.
Through our school and District First Nations staff, students with Aboriginal ancestry which includes Status, Non-Status, Metis and Inuit, can access special programs, community services, educational supports and tutoring.
