​We paused on collecting fees at the beginning of this year as we have received some additional money from the Ministry of Education to help offset costs to families. This year we will not be collecting the student activity fee or the locker fee. If you've already paid this online, you will have received a refund via School Cash Online. We will still collect our $50 textbook deposit fee for any new students (Grade 8, new to Ballenas). This deposit is held during a student's time at Ballenas, and returned when they graduate/leave BSS. We have also used some of this money to support our school meals program - lunch is available to any student for just $2, and breakfast is always available free of charge.  If any fees this year create a financial hardship, please let us know and we will make alternate arrangements.​
