Commencement & Prom

Dear Parents/Caregivers of our 2025 Grad Class,

The Grad Parents are busy planning our 2025 Prom and want to ensure that you are kept in the loop. We have a couple of places for you to keep connected and informed.

The school plans commencement and the grad parents/caregivers are responsible for planning Prom. All parents/caregivers with a student graduating in 2025 are invited to send emails to kssparentgrad@gmail.com and follow the KSS Prom Facebook Group at KSS Prom Facebook Page or the Grad Parent Instagram at Kwalikum Secondary School Grad Parents.

Prom is being held on June 7th, 2025 at Cuckoo Trattoria and Pizzeria.

Commencement is being held on June 26th at KSS.

Grad Fees are now posted in School Cash Online. If you have not received a notification, please sign into your account here. Grad Fees are as follows:

Commencement - $60 (past due)

Prom -$150 (due May 15th)

Guest Fee - $100 (due May 17th)

Reminder: Prom Contracts and Final Payments

Please be advised that prom contracts are now past due.

The final payment deadline is May 15.

If your graduate intends to participate but has not yet submitted a contract or made a payment, it is essential that you contact us no later than May 9 to complete the necessary paperwork.

We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter to ensure all students have the opportunity to attend.

KSS Grad PAC 2025

All students attending will have needed to complete a waiver form from the office if intending to go (these are past due)
If your grad is planning on participating in the parade they should have the mandatory registration paperwork that is available in the KSS office. All packages are due back to the office by May 30^th, 2025
Parade will start at 3:30pm
All vehicles in the parade must have and carry valid insurance/licensing for driving on public roads. This means that grads can ride in a boat that is on an insured trailer, pulled by a truck that also has insurance, but may not drive on a lawn tractor or dirt bike that does not have road plates
Grads who are not participating in the parade are still required to be at the Qualicum Commons (744 Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach) by 4pm on June 7^th, 2025 to pass the security screening and board the bus to attend the prom/dry grad event. Due to insurance, grads are not permitted to arrive at Cukoos on their own. They must board the bus at Qualicum Commons
