The First Nations' Program enriches the educational opportunities for all students. The focus of our program is to enhance each First Nations student's understanding of their heritage, their sense of belonging, and the personal belief that they can be successful.
Errington Elementary has a Home-School Liaison Worker who has a broad understanding of First Nations culture and experience working with First Nations learners. Our Home-School Liaison Worker works within the school on regular classroom activities, special cultural assignments and in support of the First Nations component of the grade 4 Social Studies curriculum.
Through First Nations staff, students with Aboriginal ancestry which includes Status, Non-Status, Metis and Inuit can access special programs, community services, educational supports and tutoring. For additional information the First Nations Home-School Liaison Worker, Loanna Clint can be contacted at 250.248-8446, or by email at lclint@sd69.bc.ca.
