Parent voices are a tremendous asset to their child's school. PACs strive to represent the diversity within their school community and contribute to the benefit of their students by providing opportunities to educate and inform parents about the school and involving parents in volunteer activies.
All parents and guardians of children in the school are automatically members of the P.A.C. and entitled to attend and vote at general meetings. A school’s principal or vice-principal and a teacher representative may also attend P.A.C. meetings.
Each year P.A.C. elects an executive consisting of a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and District Parent Advisory Council representative.
We are using the following avenues to provide information to parents:
Newsletters, information, general requests and updates will be sent out via email. You can contact us directly and confidentially here with any comments or questions. If you would like to receive PAC emails, please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org
Check out the QBES PAC Facebook page for ongoing discussion, information and events. This is a public forum for parents to gather and share information, please treat it as such.
Take a look at our bulletin boards next time you are at the school. We have a main board down the primary hall. On the board is a list of this year's Executive, and the Fall PAC Meeting Dates. Each Monday there are new notices posted on what is happening that week. There are also holders for hard copy school newsletters, hot lunch forms and other paper communication.
