Hello Springwood families,
This coming fall we are wanting to approach school supplies in a different way. We would like to introduce a one-time school supply fee of $50 for all students in grades 1-7. This has been done in the past with Kindergarten and has worked wonders. We will continue with that process for fall 2022/2023. Families with Kindergarten students coming in the fall will be contacted separately closer to September.
With the cost of living going up, the quotes we are receiving for some of our supply lists are over $80 per student. In order to help families and support the students with their learning, we felt this new system would be the best approach. This will cover all supplies for the year except planners and locks.
Our hope is that this will streamline things for families getting ready to go back to school in the fall. Teachers will get the supplies they truly need. What one teacher needs for supplies another may not require. This will also provide consistency for the students as everyone will have the same supplies. It is important that the students have quality supplies. With the schools access to various vendors we are able to provide this for students in a very cost efficient way.
We will open up School Cash Online for payment with a due date of September 30th. Families can pay the fee when they are able, or pay one student at a time, whatever works for you.
