2025 BES Start-Up Message to Families.pdf

This coming school year our teachers will again be buying school supplies for their classes for grades 1-7. This has worked very well for the teachers/students in the past. The cost for students is $45.00.

In order to help families and support the students with their learning, we felt this new system would be the best approach due to the increasing cost of living. This will cover all supplies for the year with the exception of indoor shoes. Our hope is that this will make things easier for families getting ready to go back to school in the fall and teachers will get the supplies they need for their individual classroom. What one teacher may need another may not require. This will also provide consistency for the students as everyone will have the same supplies.

We will be opening up School Cash Online for payment as of June 27th (Please find the directions and link below) with an end date of September 30th. Families can pay the fee online when they are able, or pay one student at a time, whichever works best for you.

School Bus Route Information Now Available

The Qualicum School District Transporation Department has published bus route information for all registered riders. This information is available to parents through the My Ride K-12 App and Website tool.
Applications received late will begin to be processed as time allows. As these late bussing applications are reviewed and space on the bus evaluated, families will be notified individually of whether or not there is space on the bus and what the specific stop and route will be.
For safety reasons, routes will not be publicly shared or posted on our website. Routes and stops have changed this year; therefore, all families must apply for bussing and sign up for the My Ride K-12 App or Website to ensure they have accurate information to safely get their children to school.
If you have not yet applied for bussing, do so right away utilizing the online application form on our Transportation website. Please do not resubmit any duplicate application if you have already applied.

Deep Bay

Each year students spend time cleaning debris off of local beaches. A short ride from the school students enjoy the local environment at the Deep Bay Spit.
After School Child Care
