There will be a quick GSA meeting today at lunch in room 913. 

 

Grade 12 students who applied for local scholarships, please check the list of student numbers on the white board to see if you were awarded a scholarship.  We will have a pizza lunch on Monday in room 202 where students will be given letters that contain their scholarship info.  If you are unable to attend Monday's meeting please see Ms. Confortin next week to get your letter.

 

Numeracy Assessment Tutorials On May 29, June 5 and 12 during FLEX block in room 901 and 912. Grade 10, 11 and 12s welcome.

 

PROM – Waiver and guest forms are PAST DUE!  The committee has extended the deadline until the morning of Thursday, May 30th.  If you have not submitted a waiver form by this date we will assume that you are not attending.  A list of students with missing forms is posted on the whiteboard in the hallway.

 

Grade 12 students: Please sign up for the elementary school you want to visit for the Grad walk ASAP.  Everyone has to be signed up by Thursday.

 

Also, many of you are still missing all or parts of your grad transitions, please check the list in the main hallway.  Remember this has to be submitted by June 3rd in order to meet grad requirements.

 

Girls Basketball - Thursday nights 6 - 8 PM all welcome - this Thursday and next. See Mr Spray if you have questions.

 

INDIGENOUS STUDENT SUCCESS DINNER:  Thursday, June 6th at the PCCC.  Doors open at 5:00 pm, Dinner at 6:00 pm.  We will be having our annual Loonie/Toonie auction.  If you would like to make a donation to our auction, please give your donation to the Indigenous Liaison worker in your child's school.

 

RUN/WALK CLUB:  For the next two weeks the walk/run club will be on Tuesday and Thursday

 

Food Safe Basic class has been rescheduled to run on Tues/Wed, May 28th & 29th from 6:00-9:00 PM in the BSS Food Room #902. 

 

YEARBOOKS:  There are not many copies of the yearbook left for purchase. Pre-order yours now to make sure that you don't miss out. They are still only $45 and will be available at lunch in the main foyer for the next two weeks. As always you can bring your form with payment to Mr. Seidel in room 202 or to the office.

 

WANT TO BAN SINGLE USE PLASTIC BAS IN PARKSVILLE?  Sign the petition in the front foyer.

 

Boys to Men Mentoring at Ballenas: Boy to Men is a safe and confidential place for boys age 12-17 to get together and talk without fear of judgement or advice. We meet every Thursday after school from 3:20-4:30 in room 913. A snack is offered to begin each meeting. If interested please see Mr Fraser, Mr Ayers, or Mr Langenmaier for more information.

 

FRENCH IMMERSION SUPPORT BLOCK Wednesday after school Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at Lunch. in room 402.

 

FRENCH TUTORING? - French tutoring open to all at lunch every day the week in room 405

 

Bagel café - The bagel cafe is open every morning in room 803 from 8am till 8:40am.  Come in for a bagel or oatmeal, a piece of fruit and some juice! By donation!
