"Chicago: High School Edition" opens Wed Feb 19 and students get 2 for 1 tickets on opening night! You can always see the show again on the 20, 21 or 26, 27, 28. Tix are $10. 7pm curtain. See you at the show! 

 

MATH CONTEST REMINDER:  All grade 9-11 students who signed up for the Pascal, Cayley and Fermat math contests are reminded to come to room 303 this Wednesday February 24th at  8:30 am.

 

RE/MAX of Western Canada Quest for Excellence 2020 Bursary Program - 16 $1000 bursaries available to grade 12 students. Deadline to apply March 9, 2020. Information on the BSS website or at www.remax.ca > about RE/MAX > In the Community > Quest for Excellence.

 

Grade 11 & 12 Field Trip Opportunity– On March 3rd we will be travelling to Vancouver to tour either Capilano College or BCIT followed by the "Go Abroad Fair".  We will leave BSS at 7:00 am and return at 9:15 pm. Cost $20. First 24 students who return their permission slip along with the $20 fee will go. Permission slips available in the counselling office, see Mr. Meredith for more information.

 

"What the Duck" vaping pop ups are back again next week on Friday the 28th in the main hall.  Come by to fill out a survey and win prizes.  Weekly draws for food from the food truck will be given away and even chances to win a Bluetooth speaker.  A school wide mission is to complete 200 surveys, if we meet this goal Mr. Terpstra has agreed to take a pie in the face from the winning student. To enter to win all you have to do is fill out a survey.  Pull all your friends together to fill these out and meet that goal.  You could be selected to be that Winner.  Winners from this week's Food draws are:  Lauran Brown and Brooklyn McLaughlin.  Your vouchers can be pick up in Janyce and Nikki's room, Congratulations! 

 

GRADS:  A list of names is posted on the white board if we need your height for the cap & gown order.  Please report to the office ASAP. Thanks!

 

Does anyone need some last minute shopping for grad wear? We are doing a day trip beginning of March to Prom Closet in Nanaimo to look at dresses, tuxedo's and accessories.  If anyone needs any of these items please head down to 915 to fill out an appointment sheet and see Nikki, Janyce or Loanna.  There will also be another grad wear event beginning of April in Parksville through the SOS, it is going to be a fun filled few months!
