Air Quality Protocols - Week of September 14, 2020

Health and safety of students and staff remains our highest priority, and we have now added monitoring and responding to air quality concerns as a key consideration day to day.  We are in regular contact with our Medical Health Officer and will continue to monitor air quality levels at https://weather.gc.ca/airquality/pages/bcaq-011_e.html.

With the air quality health index (AQHI) at 10 or higher, as is expected for at least September 14, 15 and 16, students and staff will be remaining indoors. When the air quality index drop to 7 or lower we will likely be told to allow students outside but to have them refrain from strenuous physical activity until levels drop further. Please stay tuned for updates.

Whether we are operating under an air quality advisory or not, all of the COVID-19 protocols remain in place, including distancing where possible, masking outside of learning groups (grade 5 and up), hand hygiene, and monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms.
